Don't rain on my parade!!!
Last day of our trip....Day 7 was the Maumee Summer Fair. We were looking so forward to this all week, but the weather had other things in mind for the day. We did make it to the parade & did a little shopping, but we'll have to get our Maumee Summer Fair fix in another time. A big bummer, but in light of the great weather we had all week, we won't complain....much.
The Rolf Park Pool
Day 5 of our vacation was spent at Monclova Park with Papa, Mema, The Duckett's & The Bobek's dining on Marco's Pizza. Apparently I was giving my camera a break that day, because I don't have any pictures from that day. These are from Day 6 of our trip when we met our friends Julie & Nicole at The Rolf Park Pool. We have been friends for over 25 years....our kiddies are friends too....pretty awesome!
Everybody's Zooing It!
Ohio Trip Day 4: We coined this "Toledo Day". The whole gang for our old neighborhood met us at the zoo. That's right, we travel in packs. 9 kids, 2 teens & 4 adults for a grand total of 15 of us visiting the zoo. Nature's Neighborhood has some great stuff to do, but I'll be honest...I could live without the do-it-yourself face painting station. After our long day zooing it, we switched gears & headed downtown the see The Mud Hens. Special Thanks to Uncle Steve. He hooked us up with fabulous seats!
The Muddy Maumee
Day 3 of our vacation & I was really glad that I packed multiple swimsuits for everyone! We took The Duckett's to Coon Hollow for an afternoon of tubing & boating. Uncle Steve brought his boat down, Mema made stuffed shells & meatballs, the weather was perfect & there was even time for a Float Boat ride. Zoe got up on ski's. Then her mom showed her how it's done.
Swimming at The Berg's
Day 2 of our Ohio Trip was all about being with more family. Well, they may actually be our friends, but they are our family. We spent the day pool-side with Amy Berg, Joni Wertzbaugher, Kristie Kwiatkowski, Nicole Hallett & all of the kiddies that go with these amazing mommies. The kids enjoyed lots of kid stuff, like swimming & jumping on the trampoline. Meanwhile, the moms enjoyed some mommy cocktails and caught up on each other's lives. We even had a sub from Anderson's, Y-U-M!
